Kuari Pass
Lord Curzon's Trail offers spectacular views of Nanda Devi, Dronagiri and Kamet. The trek combines forests, alpine meadows and dramatic mountain ridges.
About the Kuari Pass trek
Known as Lord Curzon's Trail, Kuari Pass offers some of the finest views of Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, and Kamet from a moderate-grade trek in Uttarakhand. The route winds through oak and rhododendron forests, wide alpine meadows, and dramatic ridge lines at 12,516 ft.
Best season
Kuari Pass is accessible from December through June, making it one of the few treks with a long operating window. Winter brings snow and crisp views; spring offers rhododendron blooms; early summer provides clear mountain panoramas.
Who is this trek for?

What to expect on the trail
Starting from Joshimath, the trail climbs through Dhak and Gulling to Khullara camp. Summit day crosses Kuari Pass with uninterrupted views of the Garhwal peaks, before descending to Tali meadows. The variety of terrain — forest, meadow, and ridge — keeps every day visually distinct.
Himalayan Ibex runs departures with local guides who know the trail in every season, from snow-covered winter to flower-filled spring.
